NEPAL DISPUTES OVER CONTROVERSIAL TERRITORY

Over the past culminating decades, an array of disputes on borderlines has hiked with tensions. In a recent perplexing series of issues between India and China on Dokhlam pass has resulted in a verbal exchange of frowns from the soldiers of both sides. Very recently Defense Minister of India inaugurated a much needed reliable passageway for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra pilgrims with the hope of making their expenditure less tiring and more accessible. A rhetorical move from Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli considering claims of the Indian Government on Kalapani border terrain as a blasphemy has already made things in vindictive turnover.

CONTROVERSIAL MATTERS OF KALA PANI REGION

As Nepalese govt. claims on the Kalapani region lying on their western border as the main river of Kalapani, many still believe that what East India Company characterized can and should be kept as the final-defined solution. Major trekkers voyaging towards Kailash Mansarovar faced dungeon travel of 2-3 weeks for reaching. A direct link road is an ease-off effort for travelers and also enhances traveling experience till Kailash Mansarovar. Lupulekh pass links Uttrakhand with China, Tibetan autonomous regions but as Nepal's previous miscarriage efforts on winning Anglo Nepalese War resulted in altering the Sughali river and its nearby territories, an appendage for East India Company grasped arenas is something called cowering. On the other hand, Nepal at the behest of China is deteriorating ties between them and India. Although, the final approval of the strip map is still awaited.

PALPABLE SOLUTIONS

Many still keep their interest resided on the Sanghali treaty signed by Nepal and British East India Company stating the Kari river as part of the western border of Nepal but as the tributary joins the Makali river at Kalapani, doesn't it signal to the grim complexity of the prehistoric situation. An initiative to divulge pilgrims from both sides should be marked as a welcome move instead of naively claiming the mark regions as own, which may result deformative for both ends. However, both the countries have resided in the past with peace talks and friendly terms and a move to make a subtle discussion on this matter can lead both towards the final outcome.
