  ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾದ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಗಳು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ , ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ನಡಿಗೆ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ , ನಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಲಸಸಿಗರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಕೊರತೆ ನೀಗಿಸಲು , ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ನಗರಗಳಿಗೆ ವಲಸೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆತ್ತೆಚ್ಚವಾಗಿದೆ , ಈ ರೀತಿ ವಲಸೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅವರಿರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷನ್ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಈ ಮುನ್ನ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು . ಈಗ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ one nation one ration card ಎಂಬ ಈ ಹೊಸ ಯೋಜನೆಯಿಂದ   ವಲಸಿಗರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ತಾವು ಇರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೆ ರೇಷನ್ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು , ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದ ಬಳಲುವ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಬಡಜೀವಗಳ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಲಿದೆ . ಈ ಪದ್ದತಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಇಡೀ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದೇ ತರನಾದ ಅಹಾರ ಪರಿಕರಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದು , ಹಾಗು ಹಸಿವು ಮುಕ್ತ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ . ಈ ಪದ್ದತಿ ಯಿಂದ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರು ಒಂದೇ ಎಂಬ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ . ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಹಾಯ , ಪಿಂಚಣಿ , ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಜನರ ಕೈ ಸೇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು , ಹಾಗೂ ಸರಿಯಾ

The most poignant statement that I have read in recent times is, ‘Corona-virus did not break our system, it just exposed a broken system’. In times of crisis, the most vulnerable and ignored people in society take the biggest hit.  We are seeing this play out around us through the lock-down period.  Companies closed, many refused or could not pay salaries, work dried out and so did money. The result was that thousands of people, both local and guest workers, were hungry and many on the verge of homelessness. The state governments stepped in to help the local population with free ration, however, the guest workers were left in a lurch. The resultant distress, hopelessness, and acute hunger have resulted in the largest unplanned and often-on-foot migration in post-independence India.    A good solution is in the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ scheme that will ensure basic benefits and food security for all citizens of India, irrespective of where they are staying in the country. Needless
