😪Sushanth, What Have You Done ?😪

Image
It was the usual busy Sunday morning! Family time, cooking spree, and a movie! After lunch, we all sat down to have a quick review of the corona news updates! I was arranging the crockery and heard the name Sushant! I instantly thought maybe he has done some good social work amidst corona. "Wait, go back to that channel dheeru ! Why is the flashing all over the channels? And then we read " SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT IS NO MORE...!" I was completely aghast by that. Moreover, the reason for the death stated was that he succumbed to SUICIDE which was even more devastating to digest. When life serves you a platter of lemons, make lemonade out of it. Sushanth ~ Epitome of Success ! Not only an impeccable actor he was also a good human Being. I reminisce my college days, when I fell head over heels to this man who acted in Zee Tv hit serial PAVITRA RISHTA . His talents speak volumes. His foray into Bollywood with Kai Po Che was a hit. Since then he was unstoppable! M.S.Dhoni

Gulabo Sitabo review: A big disappointment

Image
Gulabo Sitabo makers have perhaps done the right thing to release the film on Amazon Prime , rather than waiting for a theatrical release. It’s a big disappointment coming from director Shoojit Sircar , who has earlier directed Piku, October, Vicky Donor, and Madras Café . Gulabo Sitabo does not match the expectation of Sircar’s previous works and hence falls flat, despite a stellar performance from Amitabh Bachchan. The Big B plays Chunnan 'Mirza' Nawab, who plots to usurp the mansion owned by his wife, Fatima Begum, played brilliantly by Farrukh Jafar. But he has to deal with four tenants, and most notably Baankey Rastogi, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, who leads the war against the landlord. The squabbles and fights between the landlord and the tenants form the crux of the story. Then, there is the angle of the mansion being declared a heritage property, before it all boils down to Fatima Begum, who sells the mansion for peanuts and runs away with her lover, at 95. The plot

Things You Don’t Want to Hear About Bollywood Actors

Image
The reason I chose this article is for my love for movies and movie stars. However, I didn’t like the way the article portrayed just the wrong side of the Bollywood stars.  Since the topic is ‘things you don’t want to hear about Bollywood actors’, I think it would be good if we depict the good deeds or unknown facts about the actors but people refuse to hear about it. The clichéd media always painted a dreadful image of these people at every chance they get. I believe this article could be rendered in a beautiful way.  Salman Khan believes in helping people. He is known to arrange blood donation and eye care camps for hundreds and thousands of people. He also coordinates free cataract operations for those who can’t provide treatment and would be blind, otherwise. Farhan Akhtar experimented into Hollywood, when he created the lyrics for the soundtrack of the film Bride and Prejudice (2004). Kangana Ranaut’s parents originally did not accept her decision of getting into Bollywood. She us

HOW WEB SERIES CHANGE THE FORTUNES OF THE SLUMS OF BOLLYWOOD

Tucked in the by lane of Malad West in  Mumbai is a  ghetto called Prem Nagar . It’s peppered with a sprinkling of open Restaurants Gyms and grocery stores Cut to the Open Café  you see a bunch of youngsters in their late 20's. Men all Beefed up with w toned bodies and women mostly fair w and with a figure  that any  girl would give an arm for .   Sitting on an adjacent table their banter was audible. No they were not talking of the next screen test or the outcome of the last meeting with the casting director. They were all discussing their schedules, next shoot dates and upcoming projects .  Most of them have finished their Chai Nashta left .Together .  The Café was near empty.  This was in a way surprising .   Knowing the owner I thought it worthwhile to catch up in some talk. The first thing I asked, "Kaka why are the eateries around so empty at 8 in the evening”. Rubbing his palm on his shiny bald remarked . Mirzapur .  My first thought went to the badlands of UP . Later t

How Low Can Entertainment Go?

Image
I liked this article probably for 2 reasons – firstly I agree with you that Bollywood or in general Indian movies are depending more on technical aspects, foul language and vulgarity to meaningful stories like Kapoor & Sons being on the exception list. Just like the audience having the responsibility of watching the series and appreciating or criticizing it, it is the duty of the creator to make sensible movies and have accountability to what they are conveying to the mass audience. Telling compelling concepts is one thing, saying it in a responsible manner by modifying the way it is told is a separate art by itself. I would have preferred having few facts or excerpts from other people to support the article and start the article with a sentence quoted by them.  Author : Kamala Hariharan Opinion Based on How Low Can Entertainment Go?
