The world is plunged into a standstill since the outbreak of corona-virus in March 2020.Face with this global challenge, Israel has developed an automatic face-mask to help curb the spread of the pandemic. Tongues are wagging on its effectiveness and whether or not, it won’t become detrimental to human health in the long run. 

     In what can be termed, the new way of life in the wearing of face mask before stepping out from home, the issue of trust on the device is what is preoccupying everyone at the moment.

Challenge: The wearing of face-mask in public places like a restaurant, is equally a hard knot to crack especially when having a delicious delicacy tabled before you. It is for this purpose that this automatic face-mask is invented by an Israelite to permit her citizens and visitors to enjoy their stay at a restaurant stress free. Rather than going through the stress of taking off face-mask before a meal and fear of contracting the pandemic.

How it works:

The automatic face-mask opens when a fork or spoon gets in close contact with the mouth and immediately closes thereafter to permit a customer to enjoy his or her meal.

The inventor this writer was told says, the device is virus free thus, it helps in the protection against the pandemic.

Conclusion:

Only time alone shall tell if this device is the much needed remedy which researchers and scientists have been spending restless nights to find, to heal the world from the common enemy, covid-19.
