After every Sunday, comes a Monday, but it brings its share of worries, pains, and troubles because one has to start the work-week after two days of fun during the weekends.

Besides, Monday is the day when you are assigned work, accumulating the tension and giving you a headache.

So, how can you beat the Monday Blues?

Be prepared

Monday is the time when office meetings happen to plan for the week ahead. If you come to the office without your presentation or poorly presented ideas and topics, it would create a bad impression, and you would be deemed lazy, and careless. Hence, it is important to be prepared for the meeting well ahead of Monday. Spare a few hours on Saturday or Sunday to prepare for the big meeting on Monday. Remember, if your ideas or presentation gets approved on Monday, your job is half done.

Don’t party hard on Sunday night

Few of us make the mistake of partying the whole of Sunday night to wake up with a terrible hangover on Monday morning. You will then struggle to sail through the week after beginning Monday on a sour note. Hence, that’s why most people dread Monday morning as they are least prepared and have a hangover of the previous night to deal with. 

Try to retire early to bed on Sunday night even if you have to attend a party. As long as you get your the required amount of sleep, you will wake up fresh to face the Monday morning blues.

Don’t procrastinate 

The best way to spend the weekends without Monday morning blues is to finish all the tasks on Friday night itself. Do not postpone or procrastinate. If you postpone, thinking you have a Saturday and a Sunday to finish work, be rest assured you’ll never get the time on the weekend to finish your pending work. So, ditch the Friday night party, stay up late, finish work, and look forward to two full days of fun and magic.

Be ahead of the week

Monday is the day when you are loaded with work, and you would find it a pain to sail through it. So, the best way to deal with Monday Blues is to finish some part of the work in the weekend, so that you go through the day with ease, while you see your colleagues struggle with the workload. It’s a relief and a sense of satisfaction to see you complete your work on time on Monday and go home early, while other colleagues slog it out till late in the night.

Lend an ear

Usually, Monday is the time when you and your colleagues have a lot to talk about how had they spent their weekends. So, just lend an ear to hear out patiently what your colleagues have to share about the weekend. You can also share your bit. Once everything is let out, you’ll find a bit of relief and feel ready to start the week with much energy and enthusiasm.
