How to find out scammers in online (dating application)

Nowadays online dating is very common in India. There are so many websites easily available on the internet & mostly teenagers are getting involved & it turns to addiction. Many of them use those sites or apps to overcome the middle age crisis. But scammers are ready to grab the opportunity of unconsciousness. When someone uses these types of websites, they have to remember some very basic rules.

  1. Never ever send money to anyone. Do not share any personal details, phone number, any bank account details or anything that would allow the other person to be able to track you down until you have actually met them in person.

  2. Do not express your feelings, problems or any family details, occupation details until you have reached a level of comfort satisfactory to you.

  3. Choose a place of your choice where public gathering is available & also having easy exit access. Do not ride into the car offered by them & also do not allow them to get into your car/cab. Never meet them in an unfamiliar area.

  4. Do profile search of that person thoroughly, right click on the photo & do google image search.

  5. Verify the person’s age, location with his profile whether it is matching or not. Do not send any offensive pictures to them. Ask them to send a voice note & listen to it very carefully. Ask them to take a photo of themselves, a face pic, with written on paper your name, and you say you will do the same.
